The festival prefers to deal directly with the artists at the preliminary submittal and performance inquiry stages.

Likewise, prominent national and regional acts can submit a professional kit w/CD to the office at least 12 months ahead of each annual September festival. The long lead time is required for Government funding applications which may include you and your group subject to programming decision.

Rising & quality local artists, wishing to donate benefit performances or to perform quality shows in exchange for Sweet Basil exposure and promotion, must also contact the festival office at least 6 or more months ahead of each annual September festival.

Overall, each Sweet Basil festival requires over 12 months of planning, we thank all artists and applicants for understanding the lead times and submittal process involved. If the Sweet Basil Singers' Festival had more or adequate government funding support; it would work very hard to present more Canadian artists from every region of the country.
